Editors Are Forecasting: Plaid
What do Catholic school girls, 80’s grunge bands, BRAVEHEART and Double D Ranch™ have in common?
Plaid.
Be it large cross-hatched hunting plaids or preppy tartans, plaids are adding interest and color on the runway and on celebs.
For fall Double D Ranch™ is showing plaids as part of our merchandising mix. Ours is a casual, retro plaid with the perfect scale. It’s large, but not overwhelming. The colors are perfect for fall: harvest browns, russets and an interesting injection of turquoise for poison. I always love browns and turquoise together. But what makes our ‘Pawnee Plaid’ stand out from everything else out there is the wonderful hand embroidery and fun mending stitches we added to junk-it-up a bit.
Helps keep it not sso sserious.
The “Pawnee Plaid” group comes in several silhouettes: full broomskirt, a sexy ruffle front blouse and a lightweight bomber. Take your styling cues on the bomber from Lisa, our stylist: wear it over a long sleeve tee and jeans. Looks fresh and youthful.
The key to wearing plaids for this season, well for any season is: keep it minimal. Just remember Dipitty Do’s advice: “a little dab will do ya”.
