“WICKED”!

“WICKED”! I love it – this could be one of my favorite fashion shoots of all time. What a clever concept in anticipation of Tim Burton’s retrospective at the MOMA, ingenious styling, and great photography. Well done!

On November 22nd, the Museum of Modern Art will open an extensive exhibition that will capture Tim Burton’s 27-year career as conceptualist, film-maker, and artist. Bringing together a collection of over 700 rarely-seen drawings, paintings, photographs, storyboards, moving-image works, puppets, maquettes, costumes and cinematic ephemera, MoMA’s six-month exhibition titled ‘Tim Burton’ seeks to unveil a layered, tactile creative process that begins on the surface of an empty piece of paper and gradually morphs to life in cinematic film. Tim Burton is a creative genius; I love watching his movies for the costumes especially. Wish I had a trip to NYC planned, as I would totally make a stop at the MoMA to see this exhibition. Hopefully I can view online images of the show as a consolation, and of course I can’t wait for Alice In Wonderland next March!
Love Tim Burton! This photo shoot is a wonderful tribute to his artistic finesse!
I agree. Even though Burton has a macabre penchant, he is able to add a bit of fantasy and whimsy to his art. Always well done.
will be in NYC in Dec. and plan to check it out.I love doing costumes. I am doing a ballgown for Nutcracker this year.
Karen, take plenty of pics and keep us posted on both your trip and your Nutcracker project. We would love to include your pic here on the blog!
