fyi: When I was working on the fall Balalaika group, I was imagining what kind of music might have been played around the Royal Buffalo Hunt’s campfire. (if you are new to our blog and have no idea what I am talking about jump back to see fall 2009′s inspiration) I imagined a balalaika. Balalaikas are triangular shaped stringed instruments with Russian origin
and are often embellished with beautiful folk art inlay or hand painting. I imagined that the Russian Grand Duke might have played his native instrument to the delight of his hosts. In my dream world I even had the duke’s balalaika all Faberged-up with gem stones and rich colored enamels.

Ah, Dr. Zhivago… one of my all-time favorites.

I recently stole a Balailaka dress from the shipping room. I have to say it was made for me. Love it!!! I plan on stealing all the colors when the last shipment hits Yoakum. SSHHHHH dont tell Audrey!
I have the Balailaka dress and love it! I have worn it with boots as well as jeans! It is so versatile! Glad to see I can purchase it in the spring colors!
The spring colors are so beautiful! And where can I get a pair of those tattoo leggings that you used in this spring shoot as well as previous season photo shoots?!!?

Jessica, you are the winner… when the stylist put them on the model we all said that everybody was going to want the stockings. Sure enough, you are officially the first to inquire.
Audrey & I picked these up a couple of years back at Macys not really with a plan in mind, but they were just so great. Unfortunately, there is no tag or marks but I will do some research and get back with you. Thanks for asking and how is your blog going?

Hey friends… I’m sure you never thought that I could answer the tattoo hose question… well, tonight while I was cleaning Madison’s horrible room, I found this box from last Christmas that was full of Madison’s last year Christmas presents. Full of girly things including these tights that I bought for my girl’s last Christmas. They are called “Stocking Diva Tight, the American Princess by Celeste Stein made in the USA. Web address is http://www.celestestein.com. While I was a bit (a lot!) mad when I discovered all this stuff God has a way of answering even the strangest requests! Hope this helps.
