shisha mirror embroidery detail

.

Shisha mirror work or alba embroidery is a distinctive handcraft found in the arid areas of India such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi.   It is usually done in bright, vivid colors.  Shisha means “little glass” in Hindi. If you are interested in seeing this technique, take a look at this demo video to see how shisha mirror work is done.  You will definitely appreciate all of the work in this collectible Double D Ranch™ jacket!
