A T-Shirt is Worth a Thousand Words
Do you remember the behind the scenes pictures from the last photo shoot? You know cold, windy, overcast - the shoot from hell?
Well, before any of that started I had an early morning meeting with our stylist about the collection and about how to best express Culture Clash through the photography. The conversation went something like this:
.
Lisa: Soooo, what’s the collection about?
Me: Well, it’s called Culture Clash.
Lisa: um-hum…
Me: It’s about mixing a bunch of different cultures, you know, different fun stuff from around the world…
Lisa: um-hummm?
Me: You know, you mix Asian, East Indian, Eastern European gypsy and then make it Double D.
Lisa: HUH?
Me: You know, a melting pot of wonderful ethnicities.
Lisa: (silent)
Me: You know, an East meets West kinda look.
Lisa: (silent and looking worried)
Me: (holding up the Kamikaze Cowboy Tee) You know, like this.
Lisa: OH, I Get It – THAT’S Fab-u-lous!
.
.
.
And to help me reaffirm that East Meets West in Culture Clash,
Push back the rug,
and let in the cats,
let’s watch Tjwan Oei
validate “East Meets West”!
