From the Archives: Cheetah Chic
When mapping out our 20th fall collection, I originally thought I might dust off some of the “oldies, but goldies” from the past twenty years and revamp them with a ’20th anniversary edition’ label.
.
I thought I might pick out 10 to 20 of my favorite jackets, but in the end I decided to choose just one.
Just one.
One jacket that represents where we have come from.
One jacket that represents who we are and yet classic enough to still make me proud ten years from now.
My selection – the Cheetah Chic Jacket.
.
.
Do you remember it?
It was originally part of Double D Ranch’s fall 2000 collection and was inspired by a vintage child’s coat Mom and I found in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Using the silhouette of the child’s jacket and a photo of a pair of western chaps, the Cheetah Chic Jacket was born.

If you missed this attention-grabbing jacket back in 2000, now is your chance grab one - either at your local boutique or online at Crow’s Nest Trading.

I’d love one…but, I only wish that I could look as cute in it…I think it gets lost in translation!
I thought that was the jacket I had!!! I LOVE it and have always gotten so many compliments when I wear it!!!! GREAT choice!!!!
yeah, I think we all wish we could look like Elsie in it – me especially!
It is a good one, isn’t it? Do you still wear yours?
I have always loved Double D’s look of western with a twist – and animal prints seem to go on forever! Cheers to you for this great combo! This is indeed a classic. Bring on more of your favorites so we can reminisce!
“Western with a twist” – I like that and it pretty much sums us up! Thanks Chris.
