Cheryl – I am sure I will love it. My husband and I have a 1957 completely restored Harley Davidson Panhead with a sidecar. I would love the biker denim jacket when it is ready to go. I will even take a picture on the bike with the jacket on and send it to you. You should also think about having on the website a not so famous fan page and have DD fans send you a picture of themselves wearing DD. It is also fun to see how others sport your clothes…great inspiration. I also have a suggestion if anyone is having troubles with their pins coming off of any of the leather jackets. You can purchase from your local Harley store backs that are metal you slip them on the back of jacket pins and use the small alan screwdriver they give you and tighten them down. I had two of my pins come off my Land of the Free Biker Jacket…lucky for me they were in the car. My husband told me about the pin backs and that solved the problem…no more pins coming off. Love you guys!
Great idea. Maybe we should do a post and share this info with other gals who might be having the same problem. Thanks for the tip! On the email you sent…I’ll send you one back.
Vicki – we are getting ready to shoot the spring collection and as I was going through it I thought of you. I do have some lilac (or a slight version of) in the spring summer collection. Might just work with those boots of yours!
Hi Cheryl,
I was just thinking about another great idea besides the denim jacket for fall 2011…what do you think about a WW!! leather bomber/flight jacket. I was just looking at my father inlaws. He was a WWII bombardier and has his jacket. It has the name of the plane pained on the back. They either had leather collars or some had shearling. You could stitch or paint an American flag on the upper left breast. Put some great WWII pinup flash on the sleeves etc. It would be very cool. I was thinking about this because I actually bought a bombardier jacket and was going to try and create my own but you would really know who to do it right. You could also add an Army Air Force patch on the sleeve etc. I know of a great sight to see all the patches etc. it is http://www.medalsofamerica.com. Please design and make this coat…then I don’t have to create one for myself. Make it look old that would really rock.
Janet, I have been collecting images of WWII bomber jackets for some time. I love the idea and know that eventually I will put one in the line….just waiting for the perfect timing. I appreciate the link (great) and appreciate all of your comments here on Double Talk. Thanks for being a true DDR gal! xoxo
I would love to see a handbag/purse of some sort with each collection. I absolutely adore my anniversary bag (and so does everyone else). No clue what colors are expected to be hot next Fall but I’d love to see some burnt (UT) orange along with HB maroon in the collection. Whatever you come up with will be inspirational. You’re an amazing designer.
I LOVE color for fall – oranges, reds, yellows. As a cattle diva – it would be fun to incorporate a show animal in the background of something!? I know that Spring is past – but for the “future” – something with bluebonnets would be AMAZING! Have a blast creating the Fall 2011 collection – it blows me away how far in advance you have to plan in your industry.
Cheryl- I think that is the coat. It had a fabulous pattern on the back out of cording. And about a hundred buttons down the front. You offered it in a brownish hue and then followed it with a grey version later. A vest would be divine!
Ryan, yes, it was from our “Return to Taos” Collection and it did have a cute little vest as part of the group as well as a western trouser.
yes, it is crazy…just yesterday I was at the beach shooting the spring/summer collection and today I’m back in front of my computer designing fall! I’m always upside down and I NEVER know what year it is.
Trina, I am working a new little bag for fall – we got so many wonderful comments on the anniversary bag, I really need to follow up.
My Mom,sister and I have all loved your line for many years! It is timeless and appropriate for both our generations!
You all have been an inspiration to me in developing my own creative fashion flair. This last year I’ve been collecting vintage tooled leather purses, also a tooled suitcase, tooled slip on cowboy boot mules and tooled belts-made into braclets( sold one off my wrist to one of your FB friends at Project Cowboy!). I hand paint each piece in varied colors, washed with a metallic glaze and embellish with tons of AB Swarofski crystals! The finished pieces are unique and eye catching! ( see some @ leterbling.com).
What about pulling in some of that vintage tooled & embelished look(big cuffs,collar)- with velvets, crystals and big colored
gems?…also, after getting married this year I would love to see a line of DD Wedding Wear! (I have some fun ideas!)
I’m looking forward to what you come up with and hope to get down to see you this fall! Thanks! Cameron
Cameron, Thank you and congratulations on your wedding. It has been fun for us to watch you, your sister and your mom bless us by wearing Double D Ranch. You gals make us look good! I would love for you to consider doing a guest post here on our blog and feature some of your new stuff. I think it would be fun for readers to see what you have going on and the creativity behind it.
As far as DDR wedding-wear, I don’t know if I can manage that one myself, however I might have to do a little something…a little bird told me there may be a wedding in the family’s future!
Thanks for commenting and sharing your ideas~
Love & Blessings, C
I would love to share some of the things I’m up to! I will see what I can put together… let me know how you’d like for me to do it! I’m looking forward to making a trip to Yoakum in November. Can’t wait to get my annual DD fix
C- just email me your copy and what ever images you want to use and then we will upload it to the blog. Easy Peasy and look forward to seeing you in November!
I would love to see some Egyptian designs, a sentry guarding the great pyramid on a camel. The embroidery and beading would be wonderful!
Another idea would be a female barrel racer or Annie Oakley type, would be fun or a Daniel Boone type.
I have 6 of the tees and am waiting delivery on my next one. I used to hand paint shirts and do embroidery and appreciate the designing and workmanship.
Pam
Please tell me where I can find the first jacket that comes up in this video. Looks like black suede with turquoise trim?

That is the “Charmed, I’m Sure” Jacket and it is from our Fall 2010 collection. I will have Susie in customer service see if she can locate one. What size do you need?
Hi, I’m hoping the Chat is still active. I am and have been a HUGE fan of DD for years. I missed out on buying a jacket from the Fall 2010 collection. DOUBLE D RANCH LAND OF THE FREE BIKER JACKET. I’ve seen in it black, have searched the web and can’t come up with one. Size L, or I could do M since the DD’s usually run larger. Do you have a locator service?
Thanks in advance.
Kimberlee
Thank you Kimberlee, and thanks for being a HUGE fan over the years. What I will do is have our customer service girl, Suzie, contact stores for you and locate a Land of the Free Biker in size large. If you would kindly call her at 1800-899-3379.
I have been kicking around a few ideas that I need to send in. One of the ideas that I have is a sort of military ribbon piece that can go around a neck or on a jacket. I will have to send it to you once I have finished it.
