Broom Tier Tee
I was surfing around on the internet today
and looking at old vintage sewing patterns.
.

.
I saved some of the old squaw skirts – also referred to as patio skirts, broom skirts, tiered skirts, and/or fiesta skirts.
.
I think their name changed every decade, but basically they remain the same with a length or embellishment change.
.
I find them interesting and beautiful. Anyway, the fullness and tiering are the concept behind our California Cowgirl Broom Tee.
.
just goes to show – nothing in fashion is really new!

Surf Slang
Bombora noun
1. An Australian word that refers to a big wave that breaks outside the normal surf line.
2. Also an Austrailian vodka....
3. As the wave passes over the shallow area its shape is
raised and steepened, creating a localised wave formation.

I love those old style skirts!! I wish someone (hint hint) would bring something simular back!!
I think I have one of those patterns. These skirts always remind of Seminole Patchwork, beautifully made.

PowWows always give me inspiration.
Have a great day.
I have a huge stash of patterns if you run out!!
Full tiered skirts are cool, hide lots of sins, and have been around for centuries!
I have 3 of these vintage outfits that I found at an estate sale.. hope to be able to wear one and my sisters the other two.. they are so cool!
agree – I think the Seminole skirts are a class of their own – works of art!
Sally, I would love for you to share some of your great finds – what treasures!
