Store Feature – Bella Star Western Outfitters
Double D goes down under!!
.
Check out this store feature
with insight straight from
the horse’s mouth:
store owner Helen Copus.
..
“I have been reading the Cowboys and Indians Magazine for a few years now, I have always loved the idea of the “Wild West” and grew up watching old cowboy movies with my mother Patsy.
I have always admired the beautiful clothing and jewelry that is so popular in the American/South West culture. There is nothing like it here in Australia, so I decided to open my own store in a my favorite Queensland Hinterland Town – Cooroy. I was so excited when Double D Ranchwear agreed to stock my store. The quality and designs are amazing and are selling very well. I feel very proud to be the only store in Australia carrying the Double D Ranchwear line. I hope to expand my range each season as my business grows.” – Helen Copus

Helen has horses and enjoys the “country lifestyle,” so dressing in a way that relates to her lifestyle seems about right! She tells us that Double D Ranchwear is perfect for our climate (we’ll head down that way and REALLY be the judge of that!!). Fun fact: Most of the DDR winter sold before she got it onto the shelves! Yeah!
.
Bella Star Western Outfitters also stocks the American brands: Marrika Nakk Cowgirls (only store in Australia), Corral Boots, American West Leather, Rockmount Ranchwear, and Rock n Roll Cowgirls.

Special thanks to Helen for her photos and kind words. Here at Double D, we wish her nothing but the best!! Maybe we need to come visit The Outback!!

This is so interesting, thank you for selling Double D your pictures are interesting, good look with Bella Starr,
I love the name. What a smart Aussie woman. My friend is Belle Starr’s great grandniece. The family claims she was not a criminal only a feminist! So funny. I’m related to her husband Sam Starr.
Thanks for the lovely comments…We would love for you to visit us in Australia!
I am fascinated by Belle Starr’s life..I have pictures and books about her in the shop.. We also play a song that was written about her..I always play it to open fashion parades. So great that you are related.
very interesting – my Dad is related to the Starr family on his mother’s side.
This is great!.
