Afternoon in Morocco Trunk Show THIS Friday!
Some of my favorite memories are from
our trips to Ruidoso, New Mexico each summer.
We would pack up the ol’ camper and follow Dad and his horses out for Ruidoso Down’s summer meet and the
All American Futurity.
.

.
Hedy and I have fond memories of staying in tiny log cabins and playing with our Barbie dolls out under big pine trees. Mom would make lunch everyday and then take us into town for an afternoon of shopping.
If I think back hard enough,
these excursions into Ruidoso were my
first introduction to Navajo heritage and jewelry.
In turn, tons of inspiration over the past
25 years has Ruidoso’s name all over it.
.

So in 1991 when Michelle O’Brien opened a store in Ruidoso,
needless to say, we were ecstatic
and felt we had come full circle.
.
.
Well, this week everyone in New Mexico is in for a treat!
Friday (August 5th; 4pm to 7pm)
is Michelle’s 20th Anniversary Trunk Show and luncheon.
Miss New Mexico, Sarina Turnbull
will be present for a guest appearance and informal modeling.
So if you are in the area swing by Michelle’s and take a peek at Double D Ranch’s™ new fall collection.

Summers in Comanche with our Grandmothe evoke such memories.. shopping at Higginbothoms.. going to the DriveIn at DeLeon in her big old car.. visiting relatives with all kinds of yard animals.. fresh veggies she picked! But most of all.. she let me use her sewing machine to make Barbie clothes and play costumes.. such fun ! thanks for reminding me of those times!
good memories! Thanks for sharing.
