We got some of our girls gussied up in this cool canyon-inspired collection and well, it’s pretty clear there are some front-runner favorites around here!

“I don’t even really remember when we started doing this – do you, Audrey?” Cheryl laughed. “But it’s become something we really look forward to with every collection. And I think our audience does, too. From my perspective, it’s neat to see what people gravitate towards and how they style it, and I think from a general audience perspective, people really enjoy seeing it on real women and different body types. A garment is going to look different on 6-foot Kaylin than on our little firecracker fashionista Doris, you know?”

This round of DDR dress-up went a little differently, because much to our delight and amusement, several gals picked the same or similar pieces. Here’s the who-what-wear of the Double D offices this season.

A PREFERENCE FOR PUEBLO

No surprise here, this is a quintessential cowgirl classic! Samantha, Vickie, and Petra all picked the Pueblo Antiquity Top, and they all three look uniquely striking in it, which is a testament to its universal appeal and wearability. The luxe velvet feels as lovely as it looks making it an absolute joy to wear, the colors are eye-catching and flattering, and the studding and concho details just seal the deal as a go-to statement piece. Definitely one of Monument Valley’s must-haves.

ANCESTOR’S SILVER GETS A GOLD STAR

Two of our favorite fashionistas reached for the Ancestor’s Silver Jacket, and we are loving how they each chose to wear and pair it, giving two individual looks to the same piece. Susan rocked it in “wagon” open as a jacket which really made the placket pop on the Cactus Cate Top she paired it with. Alexis – whose style stories you’ve been watching on social media for a while – let the Ancestor’s Silver speak for itself, buttoning it up and styling it as a statement top. We are so here for both of these looks!

MONUMENTAL FAVORITE

What’s old is new again and this print is proof that fashion is cyclical. The signature print of Monument Valley is a reimagined iteration of one of our very first designs in DDR history, and it just has all kinds of aesthetic appeal as well as a tiny nod of nostalgia. Melissa modeled the top with a chic pair of white jeans, Gerri looked simply darling in the dress complemented with classic cowboy boots, and of course, our cute little Claire doubled down pairing the top with the skirt and cinching it was a bold concho belt. Paired to perfection by all three, if you ask us!

And we’ve got to shoutout the two cuties who totally did their own thing and ended up in an outfit unlike anyone else! Sweet Susie Eggemeyer is precious in just about anything she puts on and she sure made a strong case for the Horses of The Wind Top as a perfect piece to elevate your everyday look all summer long, and Esther put together a killer combo pairing the Canyon Camo Tee with the Sonora Short and a 2nd Phase concho belt. Don’t these gals make us look good?
