Friday Night Lights

by 1 November 18, 2009

Sorry for the lack of posts this week.  I've been tethered to my computer designing.  Thanksgiving is my deadline to be complete with the fall collection - YIKES!  (let's not talk about if I'm going to make it) The buzz around here is football.  Our Cardinals were crowned district champs for the first time in twenty years.  They won their first finals game against Woodlands Christian with Jack scoring two touchdowns.  Now we are looking forward to this Friday's big game.   The plan is to drive up in the motor-home.  Taylor has it serviced and Mickey will be the designated driver.  Hopefully Mom will cook up some tasty, road trip treats as the rest of us will pack-in, play cards and giggle.  (real Griswold like) Jack's scoring seriessenior & freshman talk it over Which reminds me:  We did this last year and it was great until we had a flat tire.  Not good for a motor-home.  Especially around midnight in No-Name, Texas.  So this year I am praying for smoother sailing.  My prayer goes something like this:
Dear LORD,  I pray that you protect us as we journey to and from the game.  Let us have smooth sailing and no flat tires. And while YOU are on the smooth sailing, it would be really nice if the Cardinals sailed past the Eagles too!
The Cardinals will meet Frisco Legacy Eagles in the Regional finals this Friday in Florence, Texas.   The Cardinals lost to the Eagles last year in the same series by 1 point with less than a minute to go.  The Eagles are picked to win this year by one point.

I'm feeling an upset!

Turquoise & Coral

When you think of stones in Southwestern and Native American jewelry, your first thought is probably turquoise – and rightfully so, it’s the most prevalent and it’s almost synonymous with the style. But turquoise has a stylistic sister-“stone” that, once you think about it, is a common and key asset to some of the most beautiful and beloved pieces.
