Fashion to dye for.....

.

One of the biggest trends this season is Ombré Soirée,

and it may surprise you to hear that this trend most recently resurfaced with (drum roll please..)

our HAIR!

.

Graduating fades of color are popping up on red carpets and the runway

for numerous reasons, one of which is the flattering attributes of the

dip-dyed effect.

.

.
Definition:
Ombre
n.
1. A French term meaning "shaded."
Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark.
In textiles, the color effect is woven into the fabric by arranging different
tones in the warp or the effect can be achieved after weaving by dip-dying.

hi all. I have been doing the ombre dying in my backyard with some older silk skirts. its so so easy. you just make up some concentrated dye solution in a bucket. start out near the clothesline. I put one of my metal garden chairs next to the bucket, clothespin the top of the skirt or scarf to the seat of the chair. this is necessary because dogs are running around playing wrestlemania and the wind is blowing. stick the end of the garment in the dye and go do something else. come back in an hour, hang up your garment to drip or dry, wash it in the machine. voila. its good to do darker over lighter or a couple times with graduating colors. have fun. love sara and the fur gang
