Cuff, Turquoise & Coral, Vintage, Kirk Smith

Double D Ranch is honored to present this investment quality turquoise and coral cuff by the famous Navajo silversmith, Kirk Smith.   Kirk’s work is characterized by his use of quality stones and materials and this piece exemplifies that quality. Comprised of three large rectangular turquoise cabochons, Kirk purposely frames them with thirty-eight contrasting coral stones.    Meticulously handcrafted, the cuff features a gently tapered five-split shank of Sterling silver.

This one-of-a-kind piece is for the serious collector and lover of Native American craft.

Made in the USA. One-of-a-Kind. Kirk Smith, dec.

Kirk Smith was one of the best Navajo silversmiths in recent times. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2012.

Kirk came from a well-known family of silversmiths. He began working with silver as a young boy in the 1960's in his grandfather's workshop. He made jewelry his full-time passion in 1980 when he mentored with his brother-in-law and well-known artist Harry Morgan.

Kirk’s work has won many awards and is known for its investment quality. His aesthetic has remained true to the traditional heavy silverwork of the Navajo and is noteworthy for his use of the best stones and materials.
